On June 27, 2025, Scoot’s “Singapore ⇌ Zhengzhou” route will celebrate its 9th anniversary. Currently, the route is operated by Airbus 321neo, with four round-trip flights per week.
The “Singapore ⇌ Zhengzhou” route was launched on June 28, 2016, and was initially operated by Tigerair, a low-cost airline brand under Singapore Airlines. After Tigerair merged with Scoot in July 2017, the route continued to operate under the Scoot brand. As market demand continued to grow, the route increased from three round-trip flights per week to four round-trip flights per week in June 2016, providing passengers in both places with a more convenient travel option.
This is the first direct flight between Zhengzhou and Singapore, building an important “air link” for Zhengzhou and Singapore. In 2024, the passenger volume of the Singapore route will rank first among all international routes of Zhengzhou Xinzheng International Airport, accounting for 11.3% of the passenger volume. The number of passengers traveling between the two places reached 88,000 throughout the year, with an average occupancy rate of 83%. This route is also the only scheduled passenger route from Zhengzhou to Singapore at Zhengzhou Airport in 2024. Through this route, passengers can not only travel to and from Singapore conveniently, but also transfer to a wider range of destinations through Singapore Changi Airport. For example, from Zhengzhou, you can conveniently transfer to Southeast Asian cities such as Surabaya and Bali, as well as Australian cities such as Sydney, Melbourne, and Perth via Singapore.
For nine years, the “Singapore ⇌ Zhengzhou” route has continued to provide convenient travel options for people in both places, and has effectively promoted bilateral trade. As a low-cost airline under the Singapore Airlines Group, Scoot is committed to providing passengers with a comfortable, value-for-money travel experience and a rich route network, becoming an important air bridge connecting China and Singapore. At present, Scoot operates 18 destinations in mainland China, Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan.
