International Business News – Kazakhstan’s total import and export trade grew by 36.3% to $86.3 billion in January-August this year, Kazakhstan’s Economy Minister Alebek Kouantarov said at a regular government working meeting held on October 11, according to the Kazakhstan News Agency. Among them, exports grew by 50.6% to $56 billion; imports in the reporting period amounted to about $30 billion and the trade surplus was $26.4 billion.
In the first nine months, transit cargo traffic reached 19.7 million tons, up 12.5% compared to the same period last year, said Kazakhstan Minister of Industry and Infrastructure Development Khairbek Guskenbaev at the meeting.
